Whats dis all about

Recommended Posts

On most cars it goes on a sensor that plugs into the air box (not the MAS before anyone sez) but the Escort doesnt have one and I couldnt figure out where it went!

Its meant to trick the ECU into thinking there is more or less air coming in (not sure which way round) and then compensate with fuel.

i wud guess more air, cuz if there is more air in the engine there has to be more petrol otherwise the air:fuel ratio is not balanced so its pointless having all that air in, as lee found out on the RR.

So if the engine thinks it has more air it wud inject more petrol making a bigger bang, i guess the theory is there but dodgy if u havent got the air in there
