paulr83
All mk6 1.6 16v Escorts are 90bhp, whether they are EFI or SEFI (Electronic fuel injection and Sequential EFI) EFI is on cars 95-around R reg and SEFI is late R to W reg.Dont think there are any other injection systems on the mk6.However on the mk5 and 5b, thats when u get differences! Cos they are CVH and use carbs and some have CFI. Its all confusing!! Saying that I think some 5b's have the early zetec engine in them! Not too sure!! escort si
yeah i have an 1995 escort si. with the early zetec engine. is there much deference between the 2 zetecs?
Ex-Finesse
2 zetec's??? As far as i'm aware, there is the zetec-e and zetec-s which are 2 completely different engines. The zetec-e is the earlier version fitted to earlier mondeo's and escorts and some fiestas. Zetec-s was a later version with no resemblance to zetec-e, and was fitted to latest festas and mondeo's. All in all, I didnt think there was a difference in zetec engine between escorts... Ralph.
muzzy
3 zetecs zetec r (ro cam) fitted to most s.affican, asain car markets. was single cam basic engine which was cheap to make and easy to manufacture. zetec e which are in the escorts and monedeos. which most of use have. zetec s found in focus etc, same technolyas the escort model but dffent header tanks beinng made from diffent materials (alloy/iron blocks), which in turns means diffent valves, springs chambers and layout .so on so basical diffent engine in total. think thats right from what people have told me
