LedVenT's Car History

Recommended Posts

My first car bought the day after I passed.

a 1.2 Clio which went like a 800cc and had corrosion on every paneland the heater just expelled warm farts, but the seats were comfy

Second car was Mazda 323f 1.6 with a TWR factory fitted bodykit one of only 150 sold in the UK. I LOVED this car but it had it's foibles.

1, the heater was epic all through summer right up to the moment i needed it then it died.

2, the steering wheel was very jelly like, you could massage it around and feel the metal underneath.

3, the gears would only work when they felt like it and seldom when you really needed them.

4, the electric sunroof used to flex in the heater and would often get stuck.

5, the interior door handles would fail on hot days, dunno why.

6, the light and window wipers controls were on opposite sides of the coloum but the same action, a couple of times in heavy rain at night I turned the lights off

and due to them being the pop up type this takes time to close and open again. a very hairy experiance down unlit country lanes in the middle of the night with a screen full of water.

7, due to the heaters packing up i got a dashboard heater it worked for two days till the cigarette lighter broke.

8, If you loaded the boot up with too much stuff the doors wouldnt close.

9, the drivers side speakers would only work after you drove over some cats eyes and then only till you went round a corner.

10, it was nomming a litre of oil every two weeks.

But on the upside it started first time everytime and never broke down. It had to be scrapped as the whole underside was iron oxide :censored:

After i scrapped the mazda i took a 6 month grieving break to get over her until i found my latest ride

a 1.8 Si with 82k on the clock for 470 squids :thumb: just needs the skirts, (i did have some fitted but the bell put them on back to front so i took them off and cba'ed to refit them). I got a disced rear beam ready to go on and wanna 2 litre conversion but i dont know if i can justify it to the missus.

I just hope this car will last longer than the others.
