93EGTinLR
It's funny you should say that as the opinion here is that we get shafted on alot of the good cars....take for instance Escorts: no cabrios, no Cossie, no turbo of any kind or awd, no rs2000 Focus: late with the 5 door, no RS, no 4 wheel disc brakes...unless you buy the SVT no Galaxy mini van no Puma as far as the Escorts go, I know ours is a different breed than over in the European Market...but take tis into consideration...the same body style and platform as I own was sold by Ford in AUS with a turbo and AWD..... some of the bes Ford offers in mid and compact size cars were never sold here....The main reason we got shafted on the small car performance issue is so Ford could keep sales up for the "Almighty Rustang".......there are several ways Ford could have been a forerunner in comact cars....but they refused to look ahead My opinion anyways....it's one of my soapboxes....I prob would not be as upset by all this except for that I've been to Europe and driven what could have been here

Mk6 Si Ross
Funny thing is in the states too is that Ford compete with themselves over other brands that they own like Mercury and Lincoln. ok so the lincolns are probably a little bit bigger cars but the overall choice in the US is amazing compared to over here. Even got a better looking Mazda over there!!! http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/handleHome...&modelYear=2003
93EGTinLR
When you are a company like Ford it's hard not to compete against your own brands. Check out this link.Ford Usa..it's almost amazing who they own. As far as the Mustang goes, they are ok....but not near as great as they are made out to be by people. I am surprised they are not being offered there as I saw some at dealerships in Germany while I was living there. Prob the main reason is the driving configuration. My main beef about it is what they will not do to for a car line in order to save the sales of another. Plus many Mustang owners are complete pricks, I get all kinds of grief from them such as that since I do not drive a Mustang I do not have a real Ford and more things like that. It's the same reasons that I have against Honda cars here...the owners buy plug and play cars and then have no respect for anyone or anything different. It takes work and imagination to step outside the main brands here and mod different cars. I'm not really jealous of the fact the parts are so readily avail to those cars as much as it cost much more for mine. I feel it's worth it to not have a cookie cutter style on my car. After seeing so many Mustangs, Civics, Eclipses and such you do get to see that not va=ery many of them are truly different than the others within the model lines. On a funny note, the most asked question about my car since I started doing things with it..."what kinda of car is that?" And the best of all is when I pound out a v-6 Mustang driven by some arse that thinks he's a god because of the car he drives.
