Lee R
and u can always add the skirts and leather and still be in insurance group 10! I'd also bet, that if you put all the GTi extras onto a Si, the insurance will be more as a "modded" car

Mike RS2300
I almost got a GTi but thought the cars performance doesnt warrant group 13, im sure you will agree! The leather interior looks good I admit but apart from that its identical inside.I have an Si with genuine ford skirts and it looks identical to a GTi, although when i brought it it had the gift of Tinted windows as an added extra(not aftermarket job, genuinely done when the car was built). It also has air con and a sunroof whereas the GTi i test drove only had air con. All in all same car apart from some bits of plastic and a little bit of leather! Pete
But surely after declaring all the mods to the insurance company your pretty much paying what you would be on a GTi
