thought id post this lol. passed my test on the 20th of march just under a month after i had passed my test ,me and the mrs insured me on it. i went to my sisters. when i was coming back home i was at a junction, a woman in a fiesta flashed me and gestured across the road. then decided to accelerate into the punto.

the fiesta came off worse. best thing was the woman cut her nose off to spite her face by saying the accident happened 30 mins before. which i wasnt insured then. best thing was the police that arrived on scene even said i was insured. still to say the least insurance didnt pay either or us out as the police lost the report.

The vbest thing about this is the woman even said i "i was going to let him go then i changed my mind"

Looks bad , was it write-off?

BTW do you have a thing for minty green cars?

lol yes was a complete write off forgot to mention she even reversed off and then as i moved the car she ran into the rear. as for minty green the punto was a darker green but it was taken on a crappy camera phone lol

ouch, anyone hurt?

a 13 year old that witnessed it said in his "statement" that it looked like i was dead. i hit my head that hard it knocked me out. other then that the usuall rubbish lol

Rule #1 Don't proceed if someone flashes you out of a junction...

'Crash for Cash' is always being used as a money maker nationwide...

You flash someone out, they proceed, you hit them... The third party is in the wrong...

The magic words "He/She didn't give way, didn't look... Just came out right in front of me, I had no time to react" coupled with "Oww, My neck... My back... I can't feel my legs!!"... And you've won a new car and a nice PI claim!

People look at me like I'm thick... and even had someone tell me people like me "shouldn't have a licence"... when I don't respond to being flashed out of a junction.

But answer these:

  • What did your instructer tell you?
  • What would have happened if you were flashed out and you responded on your driving test?
  • What do the Police advise?
  • What does the highway code state?
  • How would it look in court if it caused serious injury or even a fatality?

But at the end of the day... Your lucky you weren't more seriously hurt, Lucky the Police cocked up.... And lucky it was only a Fiat... :thumb:

i was told to proceed when flashed out if i knew it was safe to do so. but the highway code states it to be a warning (ie look at me im here) rather than how most use it (as do i) give way or thank you

well as the traffic lights in front of her were on red i thought it was safe to do so... in the end insurance didnt pay out any of us because of her mistake best thing was even she said to the police i was going to let him go then decided not to. but i had a nice fiesta waiting for the road and the day after this it was on the road :D

oh and as for the police flash them and see what they do ;)

Around here... They waive and proceed... :pancake:

Then again you could speed past a police car in a non-insured, non-taxed, non-moted rust bucket with impaled children on the bonnet (some dead, some screaming in pain) while smoking weed, drinking, using your mobile phone whilst carrying a huge stash of uncut cocaine in the boot around here... And they wouldn't bat an eye lid...

They honestly couldn't give a f*** unless your a dead body in pieces, spread across all lanes after a huge pile up on the motorway... Or a pasty :innocent:

lmfao i wish they were like that round here. they are the same for the wave and proceed but have ya back seats down with something that blockes the side windows they pull ya just to see what ya got in the back of the car. where i live they pull people for anything really. they pulled me b4 and said my car made a bang as i pulled away. i laughed at him and stated it passed its mot earlyer that day :D so they will make something up to pull ya..

I was planning to do all this plus lower it by 40mm but as i lost my job just after getting this car it put a dampener on things but once i get a job and get sorted it will be done ;) as for the freedom does it already have the wiring for the fogs or not? just that if im going to do all that i may as well make it central locking as well
