Mike RS2300
Iv noticed a trend with shell garages! They are normally quite big and have 2 checkouts, they also normally have 2 workers. One of which actually serves the massive line of people wishing to pay for petrol, the other however just stands there talking to the person serving. Its beginning to Pee me off enough that i might contact shell to complain. My annoyance is heightened by the fact that im always seem to be in a hurry when im getting petrol!! Phill
Basically Ant, there's a giant nationwide network devoted to looking out for when you go for petrol. Then, when they see you approaching, they whip out the cones. It's part of a government-funded initiative to Pee you off. Maybe.

Pete
Its because they are expecting a tanker for delivery. But, you know what these bloody lorry drivers are like.....never on time
John
ok possible reasons....... 1. delivery expected anytime now. 2.they are carrying out maintainence on the pumps/tanks 3. some numpty has spilt fuel all over the floor and is then hiding around the corner making out it was all a accident when really they r waiting to see how long it takes to catch the whole place on fire 4. as phill said they r just out to annoy u

98gt
Once pulled into a Shell station when I was running low on a busy Friday evening, every Unleaded pump had an Out of Order sign stuck on it but would they do the sensible thing and put a sign near the entrance so that people who wanted petrol wouldn't waste their time stopping Would they F*CK
Mk6 Si Ross
tis deffo to do with lorries have you seen some of these forecourts?? tight enough in a Fiesta never mind 45 foot of articulated trailer so they shut it in advance to get rid of all the cars in reddiness for the truck to come then it has a free and clear exit out without taking your car with it!!!
