Tryed apair on mine befor, every bump scrub. but then again im a f*t b*st*red lol wear ur tryers out quickly and feels not to great. check the price of it being rolled if u have it done, plus check out how much a new tryre will cost u, when it needs replacing befor u comit. nowt worse than having to have two new tyres in the furture replacing and finding out its gonna cost u a bomb and u cant affoord it

Matt Escort RS2k
Yehh but looking the bollox is pointless if the car is hard to drive. 17s are prob the way to go I think.

Id go for 17".18 would look ace but so would 17"Theres only a inch diffence. Plus 17" would save alot of fannying about.
Pete
If you get the right profile tyre you only need the rear arches rolling and you shouldn't get any scrubbage. But I have heard that they sap so much acceleration
southendboy
yeah i spose an extra inch wouldnt be worth the hassle??!!

But I have heard that they sap so much acceleration Ive heard that too. Ive Been told u lose 1/2 second every time u go up a inch. in a 0-60 time. I got a full set of 14" and 15" alloys at home. i got 14" on at the momment. So if its true and i bought a pair of 18" alloys i would lose a WHOLE 2 SECONDS!!!! Thats a big slow down if its true that is! Big wheels for show, small wheels for speed!
Frain
That doesn't make sense?? Surely the bigger the wheels the faster the car???Ok technical bit - bigger wheels - bigger circumference so it goes further in one turn of the wheels??or r u just talkin bout acceleration? which i cant understand y it would change?? southendboy
Yeah but the engine has got more to turn, so it would be more strain when accelerating. Top end mite be better???? dunno When i had my golf and put 17s on it slowed down Shite loads

No thats wrong. (i think) lolJust image if u put wheels the size of a tractor on ur car? Would that mean ur car would be even fast? lol It would take longer for the wheel to go round. Making the revolutions lower.more load on the engine with bigger wheels, plus the wheels would be heavyer. Which would slow the accleration down combined.
