muzzy
Cant image it doing?? not to sure though cause ive never had it done. aslong as ur electics are coverd up, and the body shop has done a good job to protect around for rust and stuff. I think k&ns are water resistant but not to sure if water was driping on it would be Good 4 it or ur car??.
sime73
are you putting a bonnet vent on kev ?? your best asking pete, he had a vent on his escort i think....
Flat_Steve
Yeah you will get water ingress, but it depends on where the vents are situated on the bonnet. I've got Escos-style vents and the right hand side one lets water in right over the rocker cover, which gets into the cylinder head through the spark plug holes I would recommend sorting out some sort of water troughs under the vents before you fit them to ensure water doesn't get where it shouldn't! Pete
When I got mine done I was paranoid about the rainwater getting in. The car is mostly in the garage so thats not a problem. But on the odd occasion it has been left out in the rain, I checked underneath and the sound/heat proofing absorbed most of the water Have been known to put carrier bags over the vents if the garage is in use

Pelles
You can make some sort of cover to go underneath the vent, Cossie Dreamer has done this for his GT4 vent, he removes it in the summer, restores it in the winter and on rainy days..... Also alot of the cars up here in scotland have aluminium sheets fitted underneath the bonnet due to the high rain and density level, and im sure some of the peeps up here whos had this done also has had a method of some sort of connection that holds it and is easily removed, while some people who dont really care has had it permantly fitted underneath
Colin
You can buy all sorts of underventagecovers for all cars, especially RSt's and Cossies, actually, especially anything Ford styled basicially, so why not have a look on some of the shiny bits and bob's sites like Balieys etc.... muzzy
U could make to long gulls under ur bonnet so when it rains and ur driving all the water runs down to the front of the engine and onto ur front exhust manifold and cool the manifold down. Which will make the exhust fumes and pipe colder and more dense so the gassers can escape out the car fast and incressing bhp lol.
