Twin DTM Side exit box. Used for center exit without loosing spare wheel carrier

 

Don't know if it would work on the Escort cos there aint much room up there but its designed to go across the car for the pipes to come out the center :thumb:

Looks cool.

But not sure if it would suit a escort car,

plus u would ne to gubber up the hold from were the standard exhust use to be.

Im sure a powerflow dealer could fit it to a scort if anyone wants to try it :?

i originally thought of doing a similar idea like that and keep me spare wheel well, but it was really tight and the centre exit looked naff on my car, plus they would not blow out the same. all the gases would come out of the first pipe it got to, the other one would not work very well. thats why when i made mine you gotta get the correct length. most powerflow dealers do some good pipes too now. when i wanted mine there was not so much about so i got some ractive cans ( the same as carismas r5 ) and made me own

i suppose they would look Good when they come through the rear bumper

or reworked and have two coming out of each side of the side skirts on a escort :D

have always thought about doing this.... twin dtm exhaust , side exit just in front of the rear wheels.

its illegal for any vechicle made after 1984, unless classified as a kit car upon its V3 form, for it to have a side exit exhaust, and will instantly fail and MOT in any part of the UK.......

 

However motorsport and as I said kit car's are all fine, the most recent example was the new dodge viper, with its wtin side exit for all of the world, except for over here, it had to have a rear exit exhaust........., and thus has a uk specific spec now with different side skirts and rear bumper modified for two exceptionally loud back boxes, i know all this because when i was at the motorshow in Northern ireland last year, i quized one of the sales rep's about the reason why Dodge changed the mounting positions upon the uk vs the us spec, and that was the reason, and i checked it out, and wolla, he was right!

Basicially a standard day to day car, cannot legally have one...., to the best of my knowledge at least!
