ST170 Dan
ok, so i had friday off work. i had lots to do but thought id try and squeeze in a mini detail! not too many before pics, just some afters and reflection shots, which i was quite impressed with. so on thursday night i started by washing the wheels with megs wheel x and then washed the car using the 2 bucket method with AG shampoo. i had read about claying the windows so gave that a quick go and was impressed with the results i got. i also had a quick look for tar spots with that clay bar. i then gave it another quick rinse and dried it with a microfibre. onto friday. i decided to use the megs cleaner wax that comes with the quick clay system. i wasnt to fussed about stripping previous wax as it was only wearing turtlewax stuff which was on its way out anyway. i was keen to see what the cleaner wax could do, bearing in mind ive never cleansed the paint on this car. i was really happy with the results i got from this - i got a nice shine from the car and noticed a marked improvement in clarity and depth of reflections before and after the cleaner wax had gone on. i did quite like this product as i felt it was the correct time to use it in that i didnt have time to do a full detail but wanted to keep the paint looking sweet and protected. anyway, enough blabbing - some pics. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v496/dreadscort/DSC00076.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v496/dreadscort/DSC00075-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v496/dreadscort/DSC00074-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v496/dreadscort/DSC00073-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v496/dreadscort/DSC00072-1.jpg i dont think the reflection pics are as good as some on here but theyre certainly the best ive had out of this car and not too bad considering still no paint correction. as always comments, suggestions, hints and tips always welcome

The quality of that paintwork is shockingly bad! I've done better on a cold day! You need to get that quater mopped mate! that orange peel lets it down so badly! Other than that it looks stunning! Trig
moping it wont make much difference. To properly get rid of it it would have to be sanded on a block. Orange peel on new cars is very common.
ST170 Dan
agh, i never knew that was what orange peel meant. yeah slightly dissapointing. i might see if the rotary works on it (when i eventually get round to getting one).
