Hi all,

As many will know yesterday we turned the key on my Cabby for the first time since we fitted the 1.8 130spec engine, it's running on the 1.6 ecu, maf sensor etc, but i was told previous to this that it wouldnt make alot of difference it would just feel restricted.

WELL... my 1.6 Engine had no EGR Valve below the manifold, and the 130 spec Has would this be an electrical problem? The actuator is plugged in and all piped up properly, however the car is throwing out alot of black soot, fuel is being thrown out un-used and its LIKE its missfiring on 2 cyl's when i really floor it it revs past the problem and goes fine.

Any help appreciated! Is this problem EGR Related? will the 130 ECU / Maf etc Swap fix it?

It won't run right without the correct ECU, Loom, MAF, Injectors - don't waste your time.

I beg to differ, The engine is in and is running and has been since the first turn of the key, its just not running "Well" there is a spluttering problem which i think is down to the electrics still being 1.6.

Don't ask questions if you don't want answers. If you've already made your mind up then don't waste our time and yours by hitting random keys on the keyboard asking pointless questions.

Alternatively tell us what you want to hear and we will copy and paste it for you.

If all the above fails then read my signature.

I Either owe Stu an appology.. i may have missed the "Right" at the end of his words, OR he's edited it on his return, I'm sorry i believe my response was perfectly acceptable if you had said "It Wont Run".

It's all working now with the 130 ECU / MAF etc. Thanks for the help/or attempted help as the case may be.
