September 30, 200915 yr Look for LED torches, consume less power.Rechargeable torches are great, bright & cost little these days (think i paid around £8 at B&M's).
September 30, 200915 yr my step dads got a led wind up torch which u dont need to ever replace the batterys in you just wind it up when you want to generate power !

September 30, 200915 yr What is your budget? I carry a surefire 6P LED, out performs an issue maglite, even if a lot smaller and lighter!
September 30, 200915 yr Author i think the dog would scare anyone off >> http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s23/duffa1966/CopyofDSCF0116.jpg but i want the torch so i can see where he is , i'd spend up to £30 , how about this one on fleabay for £32 inc P&Pclicky
September 30, 200915 yr IMO avoid rechargeable ones, and esp the cheap stuff that comes out of china as a surefire is out the question, what about something like this: clicky it is battery run though. maybe a maglite is the best option? 2D? 4D is a bitch to carry! PS the dog is beautiful!
