Anyone else had a go in one of these? My mate came round and showed me his new one last night. Absolutely amazing machine, has a twin turbo 4.2L V8 and does 0-60 in 6.3 seconds which isnt bad for a 3.2Ton car!

Has loads of toys as well, but most impressive was the adaptive cruise control, which, when you put it in cruise control, will detect the speed of the car in front of you (and whether its accelerating/decelerating) and will then keep a constant distance away from it by applying the brakes/opening the throttle etc.

Fords have that. Most reasonable size cars have it, its not new.

we didnt even manage that last night, we were running at just over 16mpg on the motorway without even putting the hammer down.

Why would you want to pay STUPID money for a car that is diabolical on fuel and running costs... totally stupid IMO... Your friend must have some money to burn...

Because you're minted and you don't give a sh*t.

Why else would there be Aston Martin's and Ferrari's?

For the same reason that you might buy an iphone or Nokia N97 instead of a cheap tesco value phone which you can still make calls and text with, or for the same reason that if you had the money youd buy a 5 bedroom house in a nice area over a 1 bed flat in the middle of slumville.

my dad got the best of both he got a range rover tdv8 remapped and it does about 25mpg on the motorway
