testing the water on my escort

Hi all,

Just though i would test the water see what interest i get for my escort

Its a 5 door, medium charcoal green, its a 1.6 zetec, but has been gti and ghia'd up

lot of money has been spent on this car:

Spec is:

Exterior:

Medium Charcoal Green

5 door

Colour coded handles

Smooth colour coded boot strip

Rear wiper recess on spoiler smoothed over and repainted

Rear wiper blanking grommet (original genuine Ford part) - properly clips in place

Genuine GTi side skirts and rear spats

ALL jacking covers present

Silvertec indicator bulbs

Clear side repeaters

Freshly painted mirrors so no chips etc.

Bump strips removed and all glue removed

Focus aerial

renault espace front splitter (not fitted) due to it being so low wouldn't get off my drive way lol

All the painting and bodywork has been done by a professional bodyshop

Engine and Chassis:

1.6 Zetec Lump - 82, 000

4-2-1 stainless steel manifold and de-cat with replaceable CAT

stainless steel cat-back powerflow exhaust with 4 and half inch outward rolled tip

G-max 60mm front supsension (shocks and springs)

G-max rear 40mm springs on original shocks

Front genuine Ford upper strut brace

Front genuine Ford lower strut brace

Rear spraco upper strut brace painted gloss black

Brakes:

300mm ST170 disks with mk3 Mondeo V6 calipers and brand new mk1 mondeo hoses

RS2000 rear disked beam with anti-rollbar

all calipers and drums of the rear disks sprayed gloss black

Wheels:

4x 16inch 6.5j Ford Mondeo alloys in silver

front tyres are 205/45/R16 Khumo Ecstas

rear tyres (brand new 1 month ago) 205/45/R16 (unsure on make, will check later if anyone interested) they were £55 each

Interior:

GTi half leather seats and door cards

Front door cards have the lower part carpeted

colour coded GTi gear knob from Burton Power

one touch windows up and down

6 speed wiper stalk

ghia map lights with 20 second relay

GTi half leather steering wheel (very good condition)

Mk5 Fiesta white digital dials with correct sender in the tank (these dials are 100000000x better than the genuine dials found in earlier escorts)

fully working air-conditioning

electric sunroof

electric mirrors

chrome inner door handles

genuine Ford mats from Ford Parts UK

passenger airbag (unfitted at mo)

back of rear seats have fitted carpeting from estate

mint parcel shelf

plastic boot trim protector

ICE:

Sony Xplod headunit (will be included in the sale for the right price)

Vibe 3000w space sub in freshly painted gloss black box

Vibe 1400w amp

infinity front speakers (very good)

pioneer rear speakers, housed in adaptors to go where old speakers went

all in all the car is a very good motor, unfortunatly with everything, there are bad points....

Bad Points:

drivers side rear arch has a large dent and a bit of rust coming through

there are a couple of dents here and there

other rear arch is beginning to develop rust

boot lid had a rust patch and 3 fingernail sized sections where its been touched up

rear bumper is cracked in 2 places

front bumper has a couple of scratches

mechanically the car is sound, no problems what so ever

included in the sale for the right price will be a 2.0 DEEP ECU with Collins Powerchip, i had started to collect bits to 2.0l it but other cars are beginning to grab my attention

MOT runs out May 2010 and Tax runs out end of this month

will Tax it at buyers cost

car is located in Chatham, Kent

i am looking for about £1300 for it as i've spent quite a few bits on it and would get more than that if i broke it and sold it as a normal escort, however i no longer have the time to break it but if worst comes to the worst, that will be its destiny lol
