October 6, 200915 yr Author This is an EEC-V ECU, they're all internal PATS. Hope this helps.so as long as the key and transponder are together it will work as on my 1997 escort gti i put a new ecu i tape the key to the transponder and use my old key in the ignition and that work fine shold this one work the same as its of a 1997 mondeo
