Posted October 8, 200915 yr im gearing up to change my spark plugs and leads on payday. ive found the spark plugs i want but im unsure on what ht leads to get. i know i want silicone ones but im not sure on what brands are good and what brands arent. also where is the best online place to get them from - in terms of price and service? cheers in advance. ive seen these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SPLITFIRE-PERFORMANC...id=p3286.c0.m14 are these any good. also is there much of a difference between 8mm and 8.5mm (apart form the obvious!!) ie is it worth getting one over the other? and these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BOSCH-Spark-Leads-FO...id=p3286.c0.m14 bosch is a name im familiar with but are these as good? the only other brand i recognise is magnecor.
October 8, 200915 yr None of them will give you better performance than the standard Ford leads. Aftermarket leads are notoriously unreliable so there's little reason to waste your money on them other than to talk to your mates about. Don't waste your money, buy your plugs and leads from Ford.
October 8, 200915 yr Author ok, i wasnt necessarily after performance, i thought silicone leads lasted longer in that they dont damage as easily?
