Posted October 8, 200915 yr Looking at the possibility of changing from diesel to RS 2000 engine. Queston is, is it possible? What is the best option for wiring? I guess the options are 1, use diesel fusebox and connect Rs engine loom to it. 2, change to RS fusebox and connect the car loom(s) to that.Any ideas/ suggestions among the knowledgable members?
October 8, 200915 yr It is possible, but probably easiest to just buy a complete donor car to use for bits, and swap the whole lot, or buy a kit from JDM. But, to be honest, I'd just go out and buy an RS2000, they're not fetching much at the moment, so save yourself the hassle mate!
October 8, 200915 yr Author Yes I know what you mean but Henry never made an RS 2000 Estate and I have just scrapped the RS 2000 bodyshell so have got what is needed, just wanted some info on best way to go.

October 15, 200915 yr youll need custom mounts, entire loom, the gearbox will be fine as its the MTX box, ECU and a few other bits and bobs.
October 15, 200915 yr but Henry never made an RS 2000 Estate no, but I did , or at least paid for it to be done, lol I got most of the 'conversion parts' from JDM..... does the diesel not already have the MTX75 box? that will save some hassle of subframe/shafts/hubs change etc (I'd have thought, don't quote me, i'm no mechanic )
October 15, 200915 yr but dont that only account for 1 mount? the van SHOULD already have the same box as the RS2000
