One of the bulbs for the heating controls has gone on my mk5b, is this an easy bit to get oot?? is it just clipped in or screwed in, i take it the vents are all part of the one unit that would have to be removed??:)
If I'm right there should be two screws just above the speedo dials then it's a case of locating the clips around the dash surround edge and popping them, pull the surround clear and unhook the wiring looms and whole unit will come out allowing you easy access to the bulb. While you're at why not think about changing all bulbs to blue led lol

cheers for that:D Sounds like the kinda job i like, nice an easy. Goin to take a run to the scrappers soon and get a few bits for it. The blue dial kit did cross my mind but not wanting to do too much to it till i get the mot past next month. If it passes with flying colours or needs not that much done i will be getting the rear arches sorted out and then i will see what else i might do:)

yeah is nice and easy buddy am hopeless and managed it no problems lol changed all my switches for blue led ones so needed bulbs to match, found seller on ebay doing 10 bulbs for £8 odds though you can get them in 4/5 packs obviously cheaper, should only need 2 or 3 for the heater panel and 2 for the speedo, makes a huge difference to the interior looks stunning
