Rite, sorry guys, been searching too hard for Amparo bits to fill this in lol!

Basically ... I was drivin' to my mates, rang him no answer, so instead of going to his i thought ahhh f*ck it i'll go home ... so i carried on into the sticks along some lanes that i didn't know ... wern't speeding (was actually being quite catious as i didn't know the roads and it was raining). So yer ... was venturing down a lane that i knew would take me out to somewhere that i knew and then i would go home from there, basically i went the scenic route home, but it turned out to be a bit more scenic than i was expecting.

I approached this bend and though , this is coming up sharp so breaked and slowed down, let off then thecorner came sharper. Braked again and just locked up. no resistance at all! ... hit the grass then had no chance, ended up going down the ditch, up the bank the other side then kind of sliding back down sideways so endedup with the nearside in the ditch and offside of the car up the bank.

As soon as it happened i thought ohh sh*****te ive bagged this big time, got out and was not impressed by the damaged at all!

Then a 206 pulled up, and passenger said are you ok ... i said yeh but ihavn't got a clue how the hell im getting out of this ditch! He said ive got a landrover, give me 5 mins and i'll come and get you out. I could hae actually shagged the man! Ok ... not shagged ... maybe hugged lol ...

So he turns up in landrover drags me out and says i wouldn't take this bend at more than 10 mph mate, i see a lot of people bag it here all dont realise how slippy it is! lesson learnt i said lol.

Unfortunately he couldn't towe me back because he had to be home so then panic sets in thinking who the hell can i ring now! im stranded, couldn't run the car as the rad was popped and starting to get very cold, Ahhhh ... KEV! lol ... My Hero's Kev n Haych ... I really can't thank these people enough, it was late and they managed to get parents to watch kids while they come to get me, and it was late, i cant stress how much i appreciate it. Even though a few giggles were heard as they pulled up and looked at car lol.

10 mins later after taking a few pictures of ditch/car/kev's car/road lol ..... we set of for a nice tow home to the sound of scraping arches, grinding metal and whistling brakes But we got there! On closer inspection the car didn't look all that bad, bumper made it look worse.

Total damage consisted of:

Radiator

Front bumper

Arch dented where wheel was pushed back

Lower arm bent in 2

Drop link damaged where drive sahft was rubbing against it on way home

and radiator cradle.

Unfortunately i had work on the Wednesday so i couldn't start repairs but thursday morning i was straight on it. Swapped drop link and lower arm (which i happened to have lying around spare), dropped off rad and cradle and then had to source some parts.

Managed to get front bumper (silver as a temporary mesure), some bonnet insulation and the cradle off a mate for £10 =)

That was it for thursday couldn't source a radiator.

Friday again thanks to Kev and Haych i managed to source a radiator and standard airbox (didn't need but wanted) for £20 =)

They dropped me off and i started work in the dark putting rad and cradle back on, An hour later shes running =)

So total repair costs so far £30 plus some bits that i wanted. Just want the amparo bumpers and wings now as both have minor damage =(

But a huggggge thankyou to Kev n Haych for helping me out, i really do appreciate it and would have never had it running again on Friday without you 2.

Everybody keep your eyes out for Amapro blue escorts at scrap yards, or being broken local to you etc etc.

And watch out for slippy roads with ditches =)
