PeeWee
As said they come back again even after xclamping. Theres good guides on youtube & its not over hard to attempt yourself if you read carefully & fully digest what your about to do. I have a few here that often ring again, if i leave it on red ringing for 30mins then let it cool for about the same it comes back on again. The latest 360's are cured of the problem due to better chips emmiting less heat wiith better cooling.

DRAVEN
If you want a long term fix replace the x-clamp and also you need to re flow the mobo.. by using a heat gun... done 30 of them sofar and had one come back and that just needed the bolts doin up abit more.. PeeWee
Do you have a specific method that you can share using the heat gun?

PeeWee
Im a bit curious about the heat gun to the whole board tbh, I have seen this method before but isolated the rest of the motherboard with padding and foil to protect sensitive componants and so as to focus on the problematic gpu? DRAVEN
the gpu is not the only problem on the 360 the hena chip is also a problem also southbridge.. extiv had no problems dont leave the the heat in one place for too long?
