Or did you fix that? (note to others: this is only relevant to late 98- escorts)

(note to others: this is only relevant to late 98- escorts) Yeah Im wondering about temp gauge as well cos mines a 2k model (W reg)As I dont have an aftermarket security system im liking the idea of pats version Just a matter of finding the right bits it seems......Failing that have you got a DEEP DEWY or DESK ecu salted away John or Stu ??at a sensible price that is.... Im bloody skint keep buying bits !and definitely sick of ringing breakers up who have no clue.. "Yes we have that ECU but dont have the transceiver or key !!!"Ameteurs or what ? Stu
I don't think I have any 2L ecu's left now. I don't tend to get involved with this stuff much anymore.

Stu
I'd keep what you've got and save up for a faster car.. these engine swaps are a lot of work for minimal gain and you're still left with a slow car.
Squiz
lol its a crap 1.6 and I just want more grunt tbhDont like having to change down to overtake.....I drive progressivly anyway and as said before,If I want proper speed I will go out on my bike
Stu
You'll still have to change gear with the slightly larger engines.. going from 90ps to 136ps ain't like dropping a 5 litre v8 in!
Squiz
true but it does mean on the motorway if i have to slow down for someone I dont have to knock it down to third to get rolling againjust miss the grunt of my 1800 I guess I will sort it out though one way or the otheras Im planning on keeping it for a while and I still owe it 1500 quid before its cost me a penny
