Lee_2f2f
306 Lee? They are tidy cars & so reliable! if your looking for cheap running practicality then go for a focus diesel... but haven't you already had one in the past?

wwwd
Lexis IS200's are within your budget.couldn't find ANY of Auto Trader I've just looked now, and found several within a few seconds: Lexus 1 Lexus 2 Lexus 3 Lexus 4 Lexus 5 Lexus 6 Lexus 7 Lexus 8 Lexus 9 And I realise that a couple are over £2k, but quite frankly if you see a car that's listed up to £2,495 you can get it for £2k without even trying. And they are dearer then the Golf to insure suprisingly Not sure I can live with that awful interior too
sidrick
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1999-AUDI-A3-TDI-SPO...=item2c52de1865 Same as your Golf, pretty much. Insurance should be cheap and running costs and parts are no more expensive than the Golf either. Nicer badge....

Plus the fact I can't stand 5 door A3's. Less miles and 3 door and I might have been interested I really think its gonna be Focus or 307 for VFM Edited January 31, 2010 by Lee R
Kirsty
Dunno why everyone disses french, I;ve had 2 with no problems. The larger cars seem to be ok it's just the small ones that fall to pieces. Opinion based on what I've owned and on what others I've known have owned. My Megane was fine. Apart from the engine blowing up. But then that's the risk I took buying it from universal salavage with 150k on the clock and no service history. Was 100 times more reliable than all of my escorts and the volvo put together haha! I would only go Renault though. Not any other french crap.

The LPG'd Accord......it sort of proves to me why I didnt want to look at older Jap cars, I can't stand the drab dashboards Hopefully secured a 307, just waiting to hear back.
