hi, im forest(paul) im 27 a member of uksc (www.ukstreetcars.co.uk),I been out the car scene for a few years, marriage/kids/house etc....... im a ford nut had alot since i past my test for example mk1-2 escorts, xr4i, 3dr cossie, 2x rs escorts,1x rs 1800, and few more (wont go on)my daily drive now is a mondeo tdci, i posted up a question the other day but since got no reply only 1 welcome( thankyou). the misses is getting a new car and im going to be having her escort 1.6 zetec si and i have a 1.8 zetec engine and would like if someone could tell me if there is any how to guides for putting bike throttle bodies on to it on here as i would like to do the conversion myself i have had alook but can only find info on the basics any help would be good. also would like to say site looks good and seen some nice motors

The problem with bike TB conversions is too many people make it sound simple, when in reality it's not. You're unlikely to find a step by step guide because ultimately you need to know how to calibrate/map an engine to make it work so yes, you'll have to use various bits and bobs of info and join them together to get a [hopefully] working solution.

 

Start a thread in the mechanical forum if you really want a discussion on it.

thanks for reply mate, on the mapping etc i have a friend of friend at redline tuneing in basildon as i wount be doing ths bit myself,its just the setting up with what carbs and what manifold to use? will post up in mechanicl thanks :cheers:
