escortedal Posted February 1, 2010 Share Posted February 1, 2010 dont know if it just me , but im sure that people are getting worse at driving.tonight i encounter a 59 plate ford ka doing ten miles an hour along a straight road,could not pass for a good bit due to oncoming traffic,next i join a round about from a dual lane road,intending to turn right, im in right lane car to left is going straight over,only bloody cuts me up and comes right over to centre of road.im not saying i am the perfect driver but whilst doing the taxi of a weekend and doing average of 3-4 hundred miles a weekend, i encounter some really weird things on the roads.people going round roundabouts the wrong way,stopping at green traffic lights,stopping suddenly with no indicators to warn me,people driving slowly then when you go to overtae them they fecking speed up.what other mad things do you see people doing that is just stupid or annoying? There was on guy the other week, who drove round a roundabout on the left lane, went right round, =/ nearly killed me as i took my junction =/ there really are some shocking drivers out there!! shawdreamer Posted February 1, 2010 Share Posted February 1, 2010 Im sure they dont account for many overall but recent influx of immigrants round ere has seen the local rozzers repeatedly nickin em for driving on the wrong side of the road, ignoring mini roundabouts, running non registered minicabs and just outright driving without any consideration for any other road issue. last year I read somewhere that 14 immigrants were caught in the merseyside area running illegal cabs and it then turned out 7 of them were regected asylum seekers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lee_2f2f Posted February 2, 2010 Share Posted February 2, 2010 The only thing that gets me really is all the knobs that sit on my arse in the truck, do they not understand that if they are as close as most get, I can barely see them? if at all??? on the Motorway on Saturday, I was in the outside lane, had some french T*at keep getting right up my backside, there is no way I was moving over as I was doing just over the limit anyway and I was passing other vehicles.... idiot kept getting so close that I could not see him in my mirrors, got to the point where it really Fcuking annoyed me so I slammed the anchors on.....Lets just say he soon backed off..... LiamGTR Posted February 2, 2010 Share Posted February 2, 2010 When I passed my driving test last year it was easy, and thats not saying i'm the worlds best driver, all I done was went for a drive, didn't stall, used my indicators and mirros, done a "turn in the road using forward and reverse gear" and a parralel park...and that was it, job done. Make the test longer, such as having to drive in more than one condition... like. drive in dry and drive in wet..... Make them do Motorway as well.... so they learn the full rules of the road. people pass there test on roads but then use the motorway with no fcuking clue at all.... I have a feeling that drivers are now becoming too reliant on Sat Navs which are telling them to keep to the right rather than reading road signs.
