"weird noise" isnt exactly very simple to diagnose, you'll need to be alot more specific! for starters.... can you narrow the location down a bit more?is it coming from the turbo itselfis it coming from the air intakeis it coming from the crank caseis it coming from the crossover the noise, is it .... a whine (metalic type)a squeel (like a belt slip)a whistle (as in air whistle) are there any other symptoms?...a loss of powera missfireincreased oil usageincreased fuel usageloss of boostlumpy engine and anything else that might spring to mind Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted February 7, 2010 Share Posted February 7, 2010 as the engine drops back to idle? , only thing it could really be if not the turbo whistling on spin up then id say its just the turbo slowing down again , could have noisy bearings , id say undo the air filter pipe where it goes into turbo and check for up and down and in and out play in the turbos shaft,.
