I don't think it's sad, but your truck is supposed to produce 380bhp! So assuming the rollers are over-reading slightly, then you may have a problem!

How can it be over reading Stu, if my truck is supposed to be reading 380, It only read at 348?

And as said earlier, the Truck was hooked up to the computer for a more accurate reading. :)

That was my point. If your truck is supposed to be 380bhp, and it showed 348 on an over-reading rolling road, then that means it's actually making less than 348 which may display a fault (perhaps a sensor or something, probably the MAF). Worth looking into.

The computer they hooked up to would most likely have been an OBD reader, which would display various parameters from the engine - it doesn't make the power reading more accurate!

Yeah Stu, it is the supercharged model.

In which case:

"1999–2004 Ford SVT Lightning, 2-valve SOHC, Supercharged, 380 hp (283 kW) and 450 lb·ft (610 N·m) ratings for 2001 and later model years"

So yeah, might have an issue.

Mine is not the SVT Lightning, Mines the F150 SuperCrew? may have had a different engine? Mine is the T5, where as IIRC the SVT's had the T1 engines?

Hm, I don't know much about these. There's not a lot of specific info out there, and one website claimed your car has 340bhp. I can investigate it for you with official channels if you want.

hope that sorts it. i didnt think i had a chance of being most powerful but goes to show you cant judge a book by its cover. love my car so much. think the long drives and runs to higher revs have helped clean the ICV a bit on mine too as seems better this morning. no stalling etc :D thats the way to fix a car - rev the nuts off it :P
