Stu
They're usually in the drivers side passenger kick trim on zetec-engined cars, but not 100% sure it's in the same place for a CVH.

Cheers, Will have a look tonight. I had been told they were in the boot, but no sign of it there. Just out of interest, do you know if the CVH is an interference engine or not? Oobyscoot
Yes it is.. Hmmm, may have to think about getting a timing belt for it then, Its done 75K. Is the zetec engine an interference engine do you know? The misses' focus is about due for a belt as well.

SteveB
You should find a small cover plate on the kick trim - the cut off is behind this - if you have one that is.

I will look later this evening. I only ask because i put the sun visor down the other day and saw a big sticker telling me that the vehicle is fitted with a fuel cut-off switch and I should read the handbook for reset details. I dont have a handbook, so I would just like to know how to reset it just in case. There was a small cover on the passenger kick trim but that looked like the diagnostic plug. Maybe I will have more luck if I actually look in the right place.

Oobyscoot
Found it...... Only trouble is, now I have the airbag light flashing. I think I must have disturbed something behind there. Is there anything behind the kick trim that is to do with the SRS system. I have the airbag light giving 4 flashes then pause, then 4 flashes and so on......... Why didn't I just leave it well alone ?
Stu
I can't remember the flashing code for the airbag system, but you've got the selt belt tensions down near the seat which you may have dislodged.. otherwise just check behind the kick trim for any connectors.. although I think it's unlikely you've done anything behind there. Ah, now I did move the drivers seat back then fully forward then back to where it began as I dropped me fag lighter and had trouble retrieving it, maybe I disturbed something doing that......
