sidrick
At least you will know that they are done and wont need to do them again. What's done? The wishbones themselves don't wear. Andaba, the ball joints are about 15 quid each and require the arm to be off anyway. I'd replace the whole lot. They're 34.50 each at gsfcarparts.com, by the way. andaba
In my thread on E30 Zone someone has just posted me this: I've got some decent wishbones here (approx 6000 miles), the rubber covers may be slightly damaged when they were taken off (not by me !!!), but could use the ones coming off your wishbones. Also front disks and Pads with approx 6000 miles on them, which i've kept matched etc. £30 the lot if you collect from Benfleet, Essex. This guy has just made my day. andaba
Thought i'd whack a quick update here. She's back on the road Got 12 months ticket on her, and i'm loving every second of it! Had a few cheeky drifts already in the wet - it's gonna be lethal.... Here's a picture of her last week:http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll111/Andaba/320/20100517_002.jpg And here's a picture not long after I bought (and immediately fitted) some cheap BBS today!http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll111/Andaba/20100606_004.jpg
sidrick
Delighted you stuck with it There's a lot missing in that first picture.... what were you doing!? Edited June 6, 2010 by sidrick
andaba
Yeah, me too It's such a laugh to drive and i'm still not over the noise the straight 6 makes....In the first picture I had the hub off to replace the wheel bearings. Changed all the brakes too, the rear springs and the flexi hoses. Got it all back together and then noticed a crack in the driveshaft casing - it's started dribbling fluid too, so that'll be a job for next time I go home.... Oh yeah - had a cheeky little drift in the wet earlier too - it stepped out so easily. I'm pretty sure this thing is gonna try and kill me sometime soon! Apnea
Ahh beauty. I freaking love E30's specially the tour'ers as I mentioned ages ago. They've got so much potential, im glad you kept it. Get it looking mint and dont do any chavvy mods to it, keep it simple and standard... then sell it to me

It's just grease from the hub end. Either way, it should be staying in the shaft casing, not leaking out!
