Stu
people with computer monitors over 22" don't you find it a bit big to use as a pc? I don't know what you're talking about! http://di.cx/gallery/d/20729-2/012.jpg
Craig855S
Samsung 1080p LED TV.... Amazing... But £2000 for a 40"!! I have to agree with LED! We are thinking of a new TV... 22" is just annoyingly small! But we are thinking of putting up with it until LED comes down in price instead of spending on a cold cathode tube based LCD 1080P Samsung LED 40"...less than half of your 2k... eetaylog
but my current house has a long narrow living room so a bigger tv would be pants And this is what I mean by sometimes uncomfortable to watch, this is how close my 47" TV is to the sofa.... too big IMO;http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/2f2fescort2f2f/DSC01236.jpg Lee, do you have that radiator behind your tv turned on? cant be doing it much good. Was just about to suggest getting that mofo put on a bracket on the wall until i saw it.
andaba
people with computer monitors over 22" don't you find it a bit big to use as a pc? Nope - it's great for working on. I can have 4 full sized A4 pages showing simultaneously at the moment - great for essay writing, etc. Stu - that's a beast of a monitor setup you've got there. Must have cost a fair bit though?...[EDIT] Didn't notice the super retro keyboard at first either - awesome! They're about £1200-1300 around here.I based that price on what they were when they were first released in major electrical retailers around 3-4 months ago... sortedford
I think people are getting a bit confused, LED is different to OLED as in the new TV's...
Stu
I think people are getting a bit confused, LED is different to OLED as in the new TV's... There aren't many OLED TV's on the market... and they're extortionately priced...
Craig855S
LED is good, OLED is the "future" LED is much much better than LCD(TFT) so 125 quid for a monitor that is much better than 21.5 inch LCDs that cost more, is a bit special if you ask me. I wouldnt pay a grand for an LED TV today though because OLED TVs will be costing that amount in a matter of months or a year, and 3D TV will be launching shortly too

Craig855S
No, care to elaborate? Is an LED TV not a screen made up of millions of tiny LEDs? And an OLED TV a screen made up of tiny LEDs that are somehow "organic" in their composition?
Stu
LED TV's just use LED's for the backlight instead of CCFL..
PeeWee
LED TV's just use LED's for the backlight instead of CCFL.. Ahh, I never knew that either. So in that case is there a noticeable quality improvement, really worth the price differences?
