So in that case is there a noticeable quality improvement, really worth the price differences? Apparently they're much better.. i've not done a comparison myself though. They are alot clearer & brighter than my LCD TV was, but I never new that it was still an LCD Screen! --------------------------- I have bought one of these monitors as said, I paid Extra to have delivered Saturday, and it did not even turn up, so anyone buying one, please be aware of DPD delivery company they are shite (I have had problems with them before) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Craig855S Posted February 22, 2010 Author Share Posted February 22, 2010 I checked wikipedia about this, and as Stu says the only thing that makes the TV "LED" is the fact that the backlight (which is normally cold cathodes) is now dozens of LEDs lighting a panel, it gives a much better contrast ratio but other than that its no better than a standard LCD True LED TVs (which have millions of organic LEDs) have 1 tiny LED per pixel and are incredibly incredibly expensive.
