center console

hey just wondering if a mondeo mk1 center console would fit in a escort mk5b..

anyone tryed this..? i know it will fit in a mk6 with smaller adjusments (the way danzetec did it)

but the mk5b and the mk6 is kinda different??

With some fettling it (or a part of it) will get in

The mk5b and mk6 consul bolt on in the same places IIRC so it should fit in the same way

no harm in trying, although i thin easier option on a 5b might be an EsCos armrest as its a 5a and dashboards are similar so should meet better as mondeo ones bit curvier which might look odd in a 5b

i know but i dont think cossie console comes cheap! so im gonna give the mondeo console a try

 

just hope i dont need to cut anything out of the dash!

one Question,, do i need too remove the gear changer too get the old console out? :S

seems like the 4 bolt holding the "stick" holds the entire console at the front :S or am i wrong?

what about trying with a sierra centre console? thy look similar to the cossie one?

sierra console dont look like the escort cossie console.. + the console sits much higher (i think) in a cosworth rather then a regular escort,,

either il have too make the best of the mondeo or find i cheap escort cossie console..

 

this is the escort cosworth console... what i really want! but cant afford. (i think)

console sits higher due to the escort having a sierra floor pan for the transmission tunnel
