DRAVEN Posted February 16, 2010 Share Posted February 16, 2010 I'v got abit of gearbox oil leaking from the gear linkage selector bit.. how do i change the seal been told I can do it from outside the box and been told by someone else it has to be done from inside help please.. Well if i was you id listen to the person who said it can be done from the outside, as u cant access it from the inside simplesss... Take the selector shaft out, take the ruber boot off, Grab pair of mole grips to pull the old seal out, ( will be a pain in the ass ) then pop on new seal. and then re fit everything.. its a 10 min job.. Word of warning, when tapping the seal back in use a piece of wood or something flat, as the seal metal is soft as butter so dont hammer the seal directly Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
