escortedal
got spare rear doors for my sons mk6,tried to swap them over and they go on the pins ok but looks like they need adjusted to allow the door to close properly, is there any way to align the doors up to fit his car, both doors on rear are giving same issues, both cars are 2000 year escort finesse. dieselvan
if it is the same as the fronts on my van when i replaced them, where the hinges are welded on (cheers ford) you have to work out how much you need to move the hinge. cut it off and then tack it into place check the alignment and go from there. the rears should be easier as you can cut the top hinge off shut it and adjust the catch alignment, and with the front door open you can get to the hinge to tack in place. unlike the fronts hense why i had so much fun doing mine. its a pain in the arse but its cheaper to weld on hinges as bolts cost more, its the only reason i can see why ford did it. Super_Scort
you dont need to cut the door at all.. you pull the door up or down until it aligns
