Andy 3i
I loved the 2.5 gsi I had...and was a bargain at £100! Pulled like a train and it was super comfy with the recaro seats. I was so close to getting rid of the escort for it. They have a few more faults, but they are alot more complicated than escorts which you can fix with a spoon. It's up to you mate, but ask yourself why would someone with a Vectra want a 1.4 escort? On a side note, i've welded up loads more escorts than I have Vectra's. LiamGTR
Exactly what me and Aaron thought, he said he lost his job and needs something smaller? Also just on a side note, just been offered "my wifes 1.3 Ford Ka" ... lol, thanks but no thanks.
ScORTED
ur comparing old mark vectras to newer mondeos, as style evolves of course things will look bettermy personaly views are mk1 vectra vs mk1 mondeo = vectramk2 vectra vs mk2 mondeo = vectramk3 mondeo vs mk3 vectra = mondeo overall i think the vectra is a much better car, all in all i find the body work dont rust as severe as the fords and the engines are more reliable, lately im noticing and seeing much more mondeos which include the mk3 in the scrap yards, alot less compared to the vectras but the mk2 mondeo was around the same time as the mk1 vectra... the mk1 mondeo was against the cavalier surely
escort4x4
nope the mk1 vectra came out round about the same time as the mk1 mondeo, the vectra took over the cavalier as the mondeo took over from the granada

escort4x4
i could stand corrected mate, even still the mk1 mondeo and vectra came out the same time if i memba rightly, mk1 mondeo was ugly as fcuk, and the mk2 mondeo werent to clever either but that grew on me when they released the st200, The vctra GSI is a sexy piece of kit and looked evil

shawdreamer
didnt know they did a 1.4 vectra thought the smallest engine inthem was a 1.6 dont know if there rare but they definetly did a 1.4....same engine could be found in the old astra's, single cam gutless useless engine in a motor way way WAY to heavy to make it usable.
