Okays, as some may know my rs2000 needs a bit of work here and there. it needs a couple of patches to the floorpans and my 1.6 needs a sill.

Was firstly wondering can i get a floorpan for a mk6 escort? if so where?

And my other question is about the sills, i can see i can get a sill skin or a full sill.... What is the difference between the two? a virtual make believe evo beer will be given to 1st person that responds

I believe a sill skin is the bit you can see under the skirt, the sill is actually under it. As to the floor pan I don't believe you can get a new one, not from ford anyway! Have to give the beer a miss as they won't let me have one in hospital even at 3 am!

For the floor (depending on where it is and how big) some steel plate is all that is needed to repair the holes

yeah, steel was my other option, i was just looking to if they were available just then i have preshaped sections i can cut from it... ill just buy some sheet steel ;)

actual replacement sills are the same as fitted at manufacture, so the same thickness. but a skin sill is more of a cheat as it is literaly a thin skin of metal to go over the top, i am using these but am still cutting out the old rotten sill and welding in new steel but the skin will cover all this giving me a smooth outer layer.

as for the floor pans i have looked in our panel book at work and seems your out of luck. but some 2mm steel should do the trick.
