Norcostreet
I have the standard small brakes on my escort 1.8 and i would like to change them. I bought some 260mm calipers and discs from my friend, they are off a 95 2.0 mondeo. The caliper bolts are bigger than on mine so do i have to drill out the holes on the hub? Next problem is i got told that the disc has to be packed out with spacers. Safe? Oh yes, do i have to change the pipes/flexis? Options: -try to fit these brakes and get mental with a drill-source some calipers off an rs2000 and sell the ones i bought-leave the upgrade and use the piffly brakes ive got on Thanks in advance
dutchkev
use the 260mm RS2000 stuff instead and sell what youve got, the RS is a straight swap with no modding needed to hubs/carriers/disks/spacers
DRAVEN
Most ppl do a mondeo V6 brake conversion.. and yes you have to space them out..I would say sell them and do the mk3 mondeo calipers and st170 disc's they again need to be drilled out and dont need spacing. both use Mk1 mondeo hose's
