mk6 rear brake shoes

As title says i need to replace the rear brake shoes on a mk6 gti how easy is this to do and how much is it likely to cost?

how easy - not to bad if you have done them before , first timers they are a bugger! even are a bugger if you done them before lol! is a doable job though remove the rear drum by removing the large hub nut take note of where all the springs etc go and keep in a safe place , remove using pliers , refit and use new springs if have new springs but dont have to but recommended

Never done them before should i get someone to doit that has done them any idea how much they cost

not sure how they charge per the job or hour , i reckon you can do it though just look where every thing goes isnt a hard job just fiddly

and only do one side at a time then if u cant remember where the springs go you can look at the other side to remind you.
