removing front bumper - Mk6

Whats the easiest way to remove the front bumper of a Mk6 escort? I know theres 2 screws either side of front wheel arch, but where are the bolts on the inside of the engine bay and do the front lights have to be removed?

And there are 4 nuts that need un-dooing, 2 each side infront of the radiatior.

 

If you have aircon its a pig, and a 13mm ratchet spanner will help no end

4 nuts inside the bumper, I find its easist to drop the bottom grill out to reach the bolts that way, and head lights dont need to come off,

Jack the front up & use a 13mm wratchet spanner (trust me you will love that wratchet spanner & worth the purchase if you dont have one).

its a hooore o a job if you have AC in terms of fiddley but the job itself is reletivly straight forward, As said above 2 bolts either saide of the RAD and the two scews and itll pull off.

ratchet spanner will save you from the PITA part that is trying to get those nuts off with your skin still on your hands/wrists/knuckles when using other tools

i find +30mph and a stone wal the quickest and easiest way to remove a mk6 front bumber

have to agree with the newcomer and contridict the long termers, its a absolute piece of pisss EVEN with air-con and thats without the rachet spanner and only using a halfords socket set

 

honestly.......... You lot are a right bunch of embarrassing fairies at times
