(If you look carefully, just below the 2 middle finger area, his markings there, when uncovered look like a Honda badge)

Along with my Royal, I have a baby Iguana, 3 Yellow Bellied Turtles, aswell as tropical fish, and a dog

its just under the fingers above his head, I loved it as I owned a honda at the time, its the actual H part that you see on the car bonnets

As for size, he is about 3ft odd now, this picture is a bit old now

Not got any of the viv, but he has a 3ft x 2ft viv...some say its too big, but he sits in his hide most of the time with his head sitting out, and other times he likes to climb around the branches I have in it, as I see, although he prefers to be a ground snake, he does climb alot still, and eats very well, and his strike is amazing for a smaller snake!

Will get some pictures of his viv later tonight if I remember, I also have pictures of my nipper holding him when he was younger, he loves animals, he is used to seeing them now as he was born into a world of animals with my household!

I used to have a corn aswell, very much like that in colour

Nice animals, just very manic! But personally, my choice would be my royal still as he is so cool!

But we had to cut down on the amount of animals we had, it was so hard to divide the time they all needed, hence why we parted with our tarantula aswell

As for the swimming, all snakes enjoy it, my royal will stay in the bath forever if I let him! Our old corn used to point his tail straight up like a periscope, and just let loose! It was gross haha! Then it was a change water time, then let him have another swim...Helps with them shedding aswell

Thats the place Saunders! Will have to get him out once his food has digested more, and try get a better picture of it, he is a bit of a poser so it wont be hard to get haha!

And thankyou escortnreg, always nice to get good compliments, as I agree he is gorgeous! He is such a cool snake and just loves to explore the area when he gets out and about

Although the other week he escaped, couldnt find him for days...Turns out he was hiding in the washing cupboard in amongst all the clothes for washing! I knew he wouldnt be too far, and when he was found you get the idea when he looked up at us that he was thinking "Whats all the fuss about?" haha!

I bought him in August 06 just after Steve Irwin died, hence the name, as that guy was an idol to me as he done so much conservation work, and educated alot of people about reptiles and other animals...I just hope his legacy lives on for years to come

does any users on here use any reptile forums? Im on reptileforumsuk as DaveD if anyone does

Not a member of any forums, just look over them for a bit of information from time to time looking at different care sheets and general info on them.

i looked into buying a beardy when i first wanted a reptile but reading into the care sheets they really didnt fit my lifestyle much as i wasnt always around at the time and they made out alot of interaction/maintenence e.g constant feeding/cleaning was needed, however since that time iv met a few people with them who say they are the easiest pets in the world to look after?

anyone got one? i think theyr'e excellent, well want one :)

i had 2 and wouldnt thanky ou for another personally! I found them highly irritating!

the 2 reasons mainly were using live crickets, they get very noisy at night when there is the odd 1 or 2 that hasnt been eaten, and you cant find to remove, or they escape and hide out in the house making a racket when your trying to sleep

and the other was they have a tendency to scratch alot at the glass, which gets on your nerves when your trying to get some peace and quiet to watch a movie when the kids are in bed, its also annoying when you have a baby trying to have a nap and all you hear is scratch scratch scratch!!

But as pets, they are very gentle creatures, but if you want a better lizard then go for a gecko, chameleon, or frilled lizard, unless you fancy something a bit more fiesty but beautiful, that can be calmed down then go for the monitor lizard or argentinian black and white tegu

I have 3 female Yellow Bellied Sliders in here, they are capable of a nasty bite, but these girls eat prawns and veg right out of my fingers
