Ditch them mate, fit a Zetec one. A lot of people do this as it works just fine but is less susceptible to heat damage from the engine and they're cheap and easy to pick up. Even the F2 cars ran them

could do, the one i have just now works fine but has a crack at the multiplug so id just rather change it or convert to zetec

I might have the guide around somewhere if you need it. I even have a Zetec coilpack and the right piece of loom to convert if you really want

ill have a ponder over it if you can find a guide thatll be spot on, see what kind of work is involved

Not tricky at all to be honest. I even found the wires were the same colour on my loom so it was dead easy. Hardest part is finding somewhere to fit the coil pack as the induction hose can make it tricky. Worthwhile though, as the standard ones are a bit of a pain in the arse really. I'll dig the guide up for you
