a van with torque steer??

hi all, i'm new to the sight so please forgive if this is a repost/daft question or just plain stupidity on my part!!!

 

i recently bought an escort van thats had the intercooled td engine fitted to it as well as 15"" si wheels, the problem is whenever i floor it it feels like it torque steering and pulling to the left, it does feel like it over steers a little in full lock but i'd been putting that down to the alloys.

 

any ideas what could be causing this?

 

any help/advice greatly appreciated!

More than likely lower arms and bushs I very much doubt you would get torque steer after 1st gear and on hard entry to 2nd that would be to bad most front wheel drive cars will unsersteer of u turn the wheel when stung to quick or accelerating while turning tightly

hi, thanks for the speedy responce!!! i was told that it's had 1 new arm on it when i bought it, so i guess it'll be the other one then when you say bushes i presume you mean the ones that come fitted to arms when you buy the complete thing?

Yeah they are the ones, if you jack the van up you should be able to see the front bushes, and you'll see if they are gone or not.

as above, lower arms seem to be a weakness on escorts if you can get hold of a set of royal mail lower arms theyshould last for ever
