im new to this so bare with me lol

Ive got a mk6 escort gti 1800cc zetec all standard, all of a sudden one day with no warning the car will start fine and run under idle fine untill it warms up or gets hot (the engine fan works) or go for a drive, then it missfires and backfires throughout the rev range and no power at all unless i put my foot down all the way (but still lacks power) then at idle it drops to about 500-200rpm and runs really rough and trys to die, when i try to rev the engine to get it to idle its like there is no power at all untill i use full throttle, ive changed the injectors, coil, spark plugs, throttle pisition sensor, crank sensor, HT leads, cleaned air temp sensor, the head gaskit was done with a head skim about a yr ago, there is fuel in the tank,

any help what so ever even if you think it wont help needed

Thanking you for your help in advance

ive even tryed driving it without the fuel filler cap (incase of a tank breather problem), i think the alt is on its way out as its squeeking but is still charging the battery fine,

blocked CAT - MAF, vacume leak

the cat was replaced for mot but i will still check, MAF has been changed, ive looked for vacume leaks but cant find any but the prob was sudden unless a pipe fell off,

check the pipe running from the rear of the manifold to the PCV valve, should run under the coilpack round to the bottom rear of the mani, they are common for splitting and collapsing

yes it looks like it might be that as when i spray brake cleaner near/around there a few seconds later the engine trys to die (as its trying to burn the brake cleaner) so im going to try and get a new one from ford, i did not think it was this as i had replaced the pipe last year but on inspection its colapsed and cracked so lesson is to only use ford parts with things like this.

thank you for your input it helped else i would not have checked it
