For an escort club there is a real lack of escorts, myself included in that equation, but in my defence i am on the lookout for another nice escort. Wonder if the new site will be just for escort owners (which i think is what this guy is getting at) or will the whole name of the club change to accomadate all the different makes and models that people who use this club now own?? You dont sound rude Lee, i'm looking at it from an 'outsiders' point of view, the site is advertised as Zetec2k6 quoted, THE Car club for MK5 & 6 Ford EscortsThe real Ford Escort Owners Club. So someone who is wanting to join a club for escorts, hoping to see escort owners talking/sharing info about escorts that they own, this place can seem strange. I just think this place is losing its identity, even the car that started this whole thing off never sees the light of day, that should be the centre piece on the stand at every show. massivewangers Posted March 1, 2010 Share Posted March 1, 2010 This is just all a bit bizarre if I'm honest  Just because it's an Escort forum, doesn't mean we have to talk about them 100% of the time. If that was the case, this place would be nothing more than a glorified workshop manual. In my eyes, this is the best Escort specific site out there, its a good place to trade parts and see project cars, just with some good banter thrown in as well. I'm not an official club member, and don't attend shows with the club as I'm more involved with other forums, but I still come on here regularly and have met some cool people through being on here. Think you just need a little patience... I just think this place is losing its identity, even the car that started this whole thing off never sees the light of day, that should be the centre piece on the stand at every show.  Just for you then Mark, ill try and get it to one show this year  I dont have the most time in the world for the car at them moment with doing all the work on our new house, a growing familly, and trying to earn a living, but i have said to myself im going to pull my finger out and get it sorted this year before i start on the other one i have for the track. As for the club, its at a push like Passion Ford or RSOC, lots of members with non-Ford cars, the site has been and will remain focused on Escort owners, and as Lee said enthusiasts. There has always though been aspect of non Escort owners, be it people who have moved on, or people that can't even drive yet - as Mike C was. I'm not going to say to people you can't come on here just because you don't own an Escort, and likewise i'd never say all you can talk about are Escorts, it would be pretty dull, as i'm sure by this point that every subject would allready be covered. Stu Posted March 1, 2010 Share Posted March 1, 2010 I think the club itself may need to 'evolve' a bit as the original premise of 'escort evolution' is potentially no longer valid. The mk5/6 Escort isn't really a car of choice today for chavs to go spunking a ton of money on with tacky bodykits and laery paint jobs (altough, that being an evolution of anything is a point of view!!)..
