hi ive have been toying with the idea on changing everything over in the escort to red. so i thought id start with the fog light switch, ive changed over the back light to red and left the ford yellow control led in place , when i turn the ignition on the switch is back lite all the time wether i turn the cars lights on or off. the yelllow control led works fine when you press the switch and the switch works the fog light fine. Ive checked againt my haynes wiring manual to see if ive got the polarity right and i have checked this with my meter.Ive got an aray of Resistors and standard LED's

Same with all escorts, Switches light up without lights, check your window switches, they will also be lit up.
