Chappers
Hello people. You've not heard from me for a while but FEAR NOT! I haven't been killed in an unfortunate blue-painting accident. I've infact completely removed myself from the Ford gene pool. Again, as none of you knew, I passed my motorbike test in August last year, got myself a lovely SV650. Here is a picture of me on a track day a couple of months after I passed my test: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v128/davidc158/rye_8227.jpg Recently, with my confidence growing and the money from the Focus RS burning a hole in my pocket, I decided to purchase this beauty, a 2008 Triumph Street Triple. 98bhp at the rear wheel 225kg with me attached. Power to weight ratio of 435bhp/tonne. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5153167/IMG_4342.JPG http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5153167/IMG_4343.JPG http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5153167/IMG_4344.JPG http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5153167/IMG_4345.JPG and finally, here's a picture to prove i've gone properly mad, showing you what the Focus RS made way for... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5153167/IMG_4341.JPG ooh, can someone edit my crazy-brain induced title there please... KNITERIDER
the edge of your tyre liam. basically how much of the edge is worn (also on new tyres there are bits of sticking out rubber all over including round the edge). if you get it low enough on a corner they wear off/all the tyre is scrubbed in and if you do it enough the lip becomes more rounded. it dates back to people playing chicken on motorbikes: the longer they left it to swerve the more they had to lean down which would wear the edge of the tyres away. red is normal tyre wear yellow is the chicken strip http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/23231.jpg Edited March 8, 2010 by KNITERIDER

Considering I passed in August, I think the 675 is going to be more than fast enough for a good while. The speed's a pretty old design now, although a comment like that suggests you've not ridden either? Chicken strips will be gone in good time. Chappers
The way I look at it: MX5 for sidewaysBike for forwards I think I need a third vehicle for long motorway journeys though, the other two aren't massively suitable. MX5 is a bit of a comedown in comfort from the RS, but a come-up in terms of fun per mph. It's also still a come-up from an Escort

It's also still a come-up from an Escort deffo agree on that side of things both willl be great ont he track if thats what you wanna do, 600cc is more than enough other than the straights which dont matter anyway as corners is the fun bit, same with the car. agree with the comeup to the escort too, i doubt il have one again unless im skint in need of a car. is the bike de-baffled? LiamGTR
Ahhhh because you're "chicken" if you don't go down as much, which leaves you with the solid edge? Got'cha!

danposs86
What have you done to the Mazda? Bike looks, well, like a bike. Some shiny bits, some painted bits.
Chappers
What have you done to the Mazda? Winter tyres, made it dirty, left the door slightly ajaaaaaaar. Bike looks, well, like a bike. Some shiny bits, some painted bits. That's exactly how I thought until last August. I still don't really know much about them, but I know this is a goodun'
markbsi
I would kept the RS and bought a older bike for a lot less personally, any bike over a 125 will pee all over most cars. Still your bike does look great. No positive comments about the mx5 though.
