March 11, 201014 yr It will never be as fast/fluid as an actual console with it working over the net, don't think consoles have anything to worry about
March 11, 201014 yr Would also work out so expensive, montly subscription fees and the cost of renting/buying games :S
March 11, 201014 yr Would also work out so expensive, montly subscription fees and the cost of renting/buying games :S Thats what I was thinking, who would pay £10 a month to use that service when you can buy a console that could end up lasting for years without any further cost (except games obviously)
March 11, 201014 yr Its nothing new, just basically a thin client. The processing power needed by the server would be crazy never mind the more obvious pitiful's such as not working if there's no internet connection and so on.
March 12, 201014 yr £120 a year? No thanks. I've had my PS3 for years now so it's already better value. I don't fancy paying every month until my 30's/40's/50's* * Whenever I get sick of playing games. Plus, most homes have wireless internet/several computers using the web, so others on the home network would be p*ssed off with the slower connection speeds.
March 12, 201014 yr Just read about this in the news At £120 per year before you think about renting, its a bit steap.. especially considering the price of an X-Box these days! In related news, I've recently seen some "Wii" style controllers for the PS3 and a subscription fee for PSN is still being decided.. not that I wouldn't pay of course

In GTA for example when riding a bike if you lean the controller backwards you will do a wheelie. Not sure if everyone would be happy paying for PSN after its been free for so long

The new motion controller is basically a wii controller with nunchuck, only a LOT more precise
March 12, 201014 yr I heard that all the PS3 controllers had motion sensors in them when the console came out.
March 13, 201014 yr Yeah they do, SIXAXIS the system is called but it has very limited use. YOu can use it a 'la mario kart style to steer cars in some games like F1:CE and motorstorm, and it has limited use in games like killzone 2, but for the most part its a bit of a gimmicky waste of time. The new motion controller though will allow you to play proper games like the wii does, where your arms move as they would if you were really having a swordfight or whatever
