Truck has always been parked on level 1 in the Hospital car park, in a long parking space with LOADS of room in front of it... How it was hit is beyond me! I drove in today because I wanted to see how my foot was as I was suppose to be going to the Burnsley meet tomorrow. Come back to the truck, unlock it and she beeped 3 times at me (which for a Toad alarm means it's been set off). So, I go looking around the truck to notice a dent in the front... Whoever hit it (again don't know how there was SH!TLOADS of room!!!!) was driving either a Van or a truck, with the height of the dent and big scrape.... Typical story for you all............ It was hit, and the C.unt f**ked off without leaving ANY details at all!!!!!! Here are some pictures. ABSOLUTE SELFLESS F**KS!!!!!!!!!!! Ah!!!!! But.......... I go to security... so they can check the CCTV, there is a Camera right next to where the truck parks.... needless to say after flashing my NHS badge and going in the control room... the camera had been facing the other way all day.... (what a f**king suprise) Then.. a security guard comes in. asks if that is my truck parked outside (blocking 1 of 3 barriers as I refused to park in the car park (I would be charged)) asks if it was mine.... and I got given............... A witness note with the reg of the tw*t who hit my car!!! witness left no name or number, or any details of the idiot who hit the car... but I got a Reg!!! thats all I know..... so as you can all imagine, I am severely f**ked off!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If there is ANYONE here who can please please PLEASE help me get this guys insurance information or possibly address I would really appreciate it. I will be going to my local police station to report it tomorrow as a "not stopping at the scene" (Danposs86 said that would be best to do?).... so will keep you updated on it... On other bad news.. I am now going to be showing the truck at the ford show next weekend with a big DING in the front, hopefully an evo staff member may have a evo flag or something we can use to cover it up whilst its on the stand????? REG number should be good .. Hit 'n' Run that Officer .. If I actually get anywhere with it, it's a bonus for his insurers to fix it because the bumper has scrapes either side anyway from Martin & I when we have hit a barrier & electric box lol. sortedford Posted March 12, 2010 Share Posted March 12, 2010 If they didnt stop the Police wont do anything about it.We had it happen about 6 months ago, indipendant witness, Police wrote to the person that hit the car, they didnt reply within the 14 days, so the Police wrote again, but they replied saying they were at a friends house so they wern't in the vacinity of he accident, so the Police said they couldnn't do anything else - dispite us having ann independant whitness who gave us a statement, address and phone number. Gutted for you Lee and I hope the police go to the guys house and pin it on him, I mean, it's not like he's been manouvering slowly and stopped as soon as he made contact (like my neighbour did the other day) he's driven along your car like it wasnt even there. True Sid, hopefully the other drivers insurance will be paying for it, if the police sort it of course. I know... thats what I don't understand, surely the driver knew he hit my car? the alarm went off for Fcuk sake. as for the registered keeper, this is why I am hoping one of you fellow members would be able to get me an address, I would go and look at the car and then knock on there door, after taking pictures. contacted your insurance? Sending me a self filling questionare, sending a letter to the owner of the vehicle that hit mine, checking CCTV in the car park & also called it a section 75 I think??? which is the Leaving the scene of an RTC, also got to print and send the photo's I've taken of the damage in. apparently there is a massive backlog due to the bad weather... so this could go on for months..........
