escortedal
my sons escort started to have gear trouble, first crunching in reverse slightly then jumping out of fith gear, next it got stuck in fourth gear.removed the gearbox to see the extent of the problem and found that a part of the clutch pressure plate had broken free and destroyed the gearbox. pics of the gearbox and clutch.http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/escortedal/gbox1.jpg http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/escortedal/gbox2.jpg http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/escortedal/gbox3.jpg http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/escortedal/gbox4.jpg http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/escortedal/gbox5.jpg
HIGHTOWER
Bloody ell! That's bad! Has it just broken the clutch housing part, or has it broken part that holds oil? If it's just the clutch housing, I'd be tempted to save the box!

For the price of second hand boxes it'd be easiest to swap the lot. Nice pics though
scottg17
Fcuk sake eh! took a bit of a battering. I put a cheap ebay clutch on mine and the friction disc shattered on me lol... needless to say it was replaced with a better quality part
