Stonah - that's not a diet. thats slow food deprevation.

Call it what you will, but it works and doesn't effect your state of mind nor does it make you feel weak.

Doesn't me anyway :)

LMAO doesn't effect your state of mind - thats because of the drugs that you've openly admitted you use.

I guess it'd be classed as a crash diet, but at least your body is still getting food, and healthy food too. The energy drinks are used to speed up your metabolic rate and obviously if your body isn't used to being without sugar you'll be tired more so the energy drinks also replace that for you and keep you awake.

Energy drinks do keep you awake, by giving you a 'sugar rush' but then you will only get a massive dip in blood sugar.. making you very lethargic/sleepy/tired.... energy drinks really aren't the way forward to keeping your awake.

Also i'm going to guess that the yogurts will have the sugar in them he needs, i've never seen a yogurt without added sugar

There's plenty of yogurts that don't have added sugar. A lot of them have natural sugar in them from the milk - but this isn't an added ingredient.

you've already said your diabetic... i've been having a google about on this diet seems it stops all glucose and sugar intake... so wont this effect your diabetes ???

Im not diabetic.. just quite high risk.

Liam, i am going to see the doctor, if for anything just so i am fully loaded with knowlege to tell the consultant to Fcuk right off lol.

If your doctor is worth his/her salt then thats exactly what you will be doing mate. I cant imagine any doctor condoning this diet for you with the descriptions of yourself given. My guess is that he will offer to organise a dietician for you so this can take place safely & at a healthy steady pace. If you ignore this advice you could potentially be placing your health in far more danger than it is now im afraid.

I know you said your in pain walking but you realise this will decreasein time as

1. Your muscles will develop.

2. Your weight loss will affect the stress placed on these muscles.

Over to you Liam, you agree?

It's quite good really seeing a thread like this. Guys don't usually talk about this sorta' stuff, especially online - makes a nice change to see that some blokes do realise they need to do something. It's encouraging too, I'll be starting mine tomorrow - as said I think before the misses and myself set our wedding date a few weeks back for the 3rd September so it gives me a few months to lose as much as possible. I'm aiming for about 3 stone, not looking forward to it though.

Why do they have to make junk food taste so nice? :(

pain doesn't always come from lack of muscle mass or weight - walking/jogging/running are high impact activites that can hurt the ligaments/joints ETC ETC :)

3stone in 5 months is a TAD OTT in my opinion, i'd try a old school diet first till around july/august then if you've not gotten the results youve wanted - hammer the homebrew diet IF thats what you want to do atall...

just my 2p.......but hey i'm sat here at 17stone on the dot and 5'11''. i used to be 16st with only 10% body fat. lol

This is what's driving me mad dude. I used to work the doors a while ago, must have spent at least 12 hours a week at the gym, as said I'm 6'6" and weighed 18 stone at one point of solid muscle. Then my ex misses used to get jealous and have the hump all the time with me because she didn't like the 'attention' I'd get from females (sometimes males too! :/) so I knocked it all on the head. Within 6 months the difference was already showing, things had started to go south, biceps began to turn into bingo wings after a year and before I knew it, I was 24 stone of lardy fat and lost that 'look' I used to have.

That was when I came up with my idea of the diet - I guess it is a type of starvation, but personally I don't think it's dangerous as the body still gets the vitamins it needs from the yogurts and fruit and obviously the sugars from the energy drinks - my thinking is that we're supposedly herbivores, scientifically they say that this is why we have rounded teeth and not pointed, so missing out meats isn't a problem. It worked a treat, lost a load of weight from it as it was all excess weight (you know - the saggy shít that falls off with a bit of effort) but now as said I'm in a relationship, getting married in a few months and as we're all aware.. when you get with someone and you're happy, you let yourself go!

Doesn't help that I gave up smoking a few months back too - sweets and treats never looked so good in all my life til I quit smoking :nutter:
